“Leap, and the net will appear”
I have held a variety of key positions including; Inventory Manager for a globally recognized shoe line. Worked as a corporate Store Allocator for Guitar Center the largest musical instrument company in the US. Two years in Demand Planning & Purchasing for Harbor Freight Tools, as well as a role in Planning at Munchkin Inc. More recently I undertook the role of Director of an eCommerce Home Decor business for two years, and before that seven years as lead Demand Planner & Analyst for a wholesaler of home decor and garden products.
My insight was that I never saw serious commitments about ‘business training of employees’, yet it’s one of the top reasons people leave. Individuals I met felt like they couldn’t get ahead. There is a serious cost associated when employees leave and its not just financial. As a business you are back to square one, as an employee you are left to pick up the slack.
Software applications are always changing, but the employee’s skill set stays the same. I have been fortunate to have the curiosity, personal interest and a couple of companies that invested in me allowing me to keep up with those changes so I know from personal experience what is possible.
Its now time for me to give back to those that are interested. I believe through teaching others that they will see how much “time-saving, business intelligence” is built into today’s software once they are shown.
If you would like to know more it would be my pleasure to show you.
